FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What's the difference between a drop-in visit & a dog walk?
A drop in-visit is most popular for those who go on vacation and need 2-3 visits per day. It is also good for dogs who don't need a full 30 minute walk, or have a fenced-in back yard to be let out in. This service typically looks like a 15 minute walk/outside time and 15 minute playtime/eating/ snuggling inside time. A dog walk is a full 30 minute walk with your dog around the neighborhood- best for dogs left in their crate during the day, a dog who needs a middle of the workday walk or just for a dog with a ton of energy.
Are you insured?
Yes, we are insured through Pet Care Insurance which includes: general liability, animal bailee coverage (injuries or damages sustained by an animal in our care, custody, or control), vet bill reimbursement (coverage for medical expenses, regardless of who is at fault, for your pet in our care, custody, or control) and lost key coverage.
Can you administer medication to pets?
Yes, we have experience with and are happy to administer medication to pets as long as full instructions are discussed beforehand during our meet n greet.
Do your rates change for the holidays?
Yes, there will be an additional $10 charge added on to our normal rate for all major holidays: New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Easter Sunday, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
Do you allow shared pet care if I have friends/family that want to help while I'm out of town?
Unfortunately this is something we are not comfortable offering. We have experienced problems with this situation in the past with confusion on visits and responsibilities, overfeeding/missed feeding, medication administration uncertainty, unlocked doors, etc.
Can you hold on to our house key for future visits?
Yes, we are comfortable holding on to your house key for future visits and recommend this option, if you are willing. We have found it very helpful for last minute bookings or if an unexpected walk is needed to already have a key on hand to get to your pet as quickly as possible. If you would like us to return your key to you after a stay, there will be a $10 charge.
